From a 32oz crowler picked up at the source while on the Bend Ale Trail; 8 ibu
Poured into a pint glass
p- deep mahogany/verging on black w/ a hearty 2f tan head
n- med aroma of sharp dark fruits; plums
t- fairly complex profile- loads of tart dark fruit; dates; prunes; maybe some light roast; leather; a touch of toffee; vinous character; big barrel finish with med heat; not quite what I was expecting, but all the flavors come together nicely; pretty tasty with good drinkability for the style/abv
mf- med-bodied w/ med carb
o- with all the dark fruit elements, I might peg this more as an olde or scotch ale, or possibly a bsda if I didn't know better; comes off like it's aged in a wine barrel (which it could very well have been); didn't get the tiramisu elements, but good for what it is, regardless
