Fresh growler from Dave_Treat. Thanks, man. It is very malt forward with almost no noticeable hoppiness and finishes with a champagne-like dryness. I'm not sure I'd even call it an IPA. It mixed in well and threw a bit of a curveball during the tasting, which is always welcome in my book.
Nothing I'd say is outstanding, but I'm glad I had a chance to check it out.

On tap at brewery:
Beer pours a light orange with long-lasting head, off white a couple fingers in this pour. Lacing is significant. Nose is a tad English IPA, malty with hints of grain, with earthy hop notes - but not very powerful.
Taste starts out multi-grain bread like in its malt opening. There is a twinge of what I have previously described as copper notes that I get with British IPAs. The ending is light grass, orange pith, fairly simple but nicely done. Feel is medium body, nice level of carbonation, lightly drying.
I thought this was a pretty decent east coast IPA, as it is purported to be. It maybe skirts the line of APA, but I think the dry, grassy notes and ANV tip it into the IPA category.
