The beer pours a light brown and creamy head that looks very nice. The beer itself is a dark chocolate black with a nice oily and shiny texture. It looks nice.
The smell is pretty good. It has much sweeter smell than the other two versions of it. The chocolate comes out the most upfront with a slight rye note in the finish. There is also a sweet honey graham cracker smell too. The alcohol note is fairly light though.
The taste is good. It still has a strong and sweet chocolate with a honey graham cracker note but the rye comes out more to give it more spice. There is also a light vanilla.
The feel is good. It has a heavy body but is fairly drinkable with a thinner than expected feel and tingling carbonation to it.
Overall, a delicious version of their rye porter and one worth getting when you can.
