Poured on tap at the Ashburn location into a half pints glass.
Deep rustic brown body, cylindrical glass provides a solid appearance of rust like brown and even a touch of orange clarity. Khaki head presented with a creamy collar.
Aroma seems a bit subtle. Light cream notes, clean, minimal caramel to toffee character. Decent just closed a bit.
Palate sticks to simple. Light creamy mouthfeel also in taste. Peppery like flavors in mid palate a little, matching with caramel and mineral like water finish. Hop angle not present which isn't a big deal.
Just a good solid bock worth having.

The beer pours an off-white and slightly brown head that does not reall dissipate quickly. The beer itself is a clear and solid brown that looks really good.
The smelly is delicious. It has a mix of caramel and roasted malt notes. There is a light chamomile tea note and a bready note.
The taste is good. It has a the sweet tea and caramel note as the smell. The taste also has a bitter and earthy hop note to balance out the sweeter notes.
The feel is good. It has a medium body with a light but sharp carbonation and a sticky finish.
OVerall, a delicious and wonderful bock. I highly recommend this one when it comes out.

Nice clarity in the reddish brown color and a big beige bead set up nicely for caramel and biscuit repping the nose. I like the sweetness and warming dark fruits and find this pretty indicative of the style. Maybe could stand a touch of smoothness in the texture, which is a little rough for six percent, but this s a solid effort at a bock, if a little late in the season.

This leans a little bit on the sweet side. For me, that's sort of holding this back from the four range. There is a toasted bread vibe to this in both the nose and taste. The brown sugar notes are not so present in the nose, which has a dark raisin bread vibe to it. Warmth brings a little cedar-like hops. Taste adds brown sugar to the bread with a winter spice note, perhaps something clove-like. A little more dryness to the malt profile and I'd be digging this a bit more.

Clear chestnut brown, nice off-white head. Good retention and lace.
Sweet toffee and bread crust aroma, with a whiff of noble hops
Really nice caramel and bread malt flavor, starts sweet, finishes dry
Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation
Pretty dang good.

From the can, it pours a clear caramel color with a modest off-white head that soon diminishes to a thin layer. In the nose, it is caramel malts and roasted malts. In the mouth, it is the same - roasted malts along with a light caramel flavor. Nice!
