The beer pours a light brown and foamy head that dissipates at a moderate pace. The beer itself is a a nice looking dark chocolate brown and is so dark that it looks black.
The beer smell is pretty good. It has a good chocolate and light bourbon note. It isn't overly complex and is good.
The taste is good. It has a nice bittersweet chocolate note with a mild presence of the sweet bourbon. It also has a stringent vanilla flavor as well. There is also a slight alcohol note in the finish.
The feel is good. It has a thin body with biting carbonation to it. It has a dry finish.
Overall, a good and simple barrel aged stout of yore.
