-The colour is completely black. Almost no head which is interesting, usually my pours have either too much foam or at least "enough" of it. Just the tiniest ring of purplish/tan bubbles. It's an interesting looking beer, quite unusual.
-On the nose I get liquorice, raisins, and a floury raspberry doughnut. Nice smell but a bit faint.
-In terms of flavour I get notes of coffee, roasted malts, a bit of chocolate, and some herbal spices (slightly peppery?).
-The mouthfeel is nice and fairly thick/oily/creamy. Slight bitterness in the after taste.
Not my favourite stout but it's certainly quite nice and tasty. Too expensive. Batch 957. BB 27/07/22.
