I had this over the weekend and must admit I am so upset I did this trade; beer lacks of flavor! I had the Vanilla with Strawberry hazy milkshake and it lacks of flavor! It does gives a kick of Strawberry but in a hint only after that no flavor what so ever!

Sorry, I will preference this...while I am not a fan of NEIPA's for my own reason's and will not change my reviews just cause some people don't like others criticizing the most hyped style I have ever come across. I can, however, see that people disagree and that is perfectly fine. For Milkshake IPA's...I...just...don't get it. Stop here if you don't want to read bad things about hyped and trendy styles.

A: Pours a turbid murky, and opaque. Wits and Hefes do NOT look like this so don't give me that crap. Pulpy, like orange juice, even protein like. Just no.A white head tries to form, but recedes to nothing in a second.
S: Kind of a mix of berry and grapefruit juice up front. Maybe vanilla and sugary sweet next, but muddled.
T: Starts out kind of nondescript. Berry and grapefruit "juice" if you can call it that. Medicinal, vanilla, sugary sweet. Which finishes and tasted like hard candy mix with a bit of grapefruit juice. Cloying is an understatement. Oh man, this is a mess.
M/O: No body that I can really describe. Kind of medium..blah? The theme is muddled, I'll stick with that. Oh no, this is not something I am coming back to.

I think I have actually been generous with my scores. What the hell is this, and why is this a trend? I like B-52, and find some of their beers exemplary. Though they have been going down this NEIPA and now apparently Milkshake IPA road. With NEIPA's I find that there is no finish, and that kind of ruins everything that might be good. Here, nothing should go together, and nothing is clean to say the least...ugh.

Poured into tulip from keg, minimal head, no lacing. Turbid plum color in the glass, no light passes thru. Smell was somewhat off putting, not sure if it was the vanilla/blackberry combo or what, but it was slightly medicinal. Taste, well that is another story. Starts off smooth, the blackberry is prominent along with the vanilla riding along, just keeping his mouth shut. The lactose smooths it out with a touch of sweetness. No bitterness on this to speak of. Just simply a smooth drinking beer that looks pretty weird as beers go. Would definitely pick this up again given the chance. Also want to point out mouthfeel was pretty good on this, really smooth.
