A: Pours with a nice, not too much opaqueness, haze. Dark golden/yellow color. At first a two finger white head forms and recedes in a minute. Light lace is left behind.
S: Pungent and aromatic for sure. Tropical fruits and citrus. Then comes a bit of garlic and onion aromas. This lingers on with a soft bitterness.
T: Like the nose, tropical fruits of front, which quickly moves towards a more pronounced garlic and onion flavor. Just a touch of bitterness.
M/O: A medium to full body. Soft carbonation that is not as astringent as other examples can be. Still, the finish is way to quick for me and falls off in a second. Not hard to drink, something I could come back to if in the mood.
Hmm, I wonder if Ekuanot hops are similar to Summit, as I get the same kind of onion/garlic character here. Maybe that is just me. While not among my go to or favorites of IPA's in general, this is still much better made than most other in the NEIPA vain locally.
