Purchased a bottle of this beer at the brewery earlier this month. Poured into a tulip glass. Very dark clear brown color with good initial beige head an good lacing. The smell is of roasted malt and dark berries. This stout has a pleasant fruity character that I enjoy. Slightly tart apples and some apricot. The brandy booziness is there but not overpowering. I will buy another bottle if available next time I visit the brewery.
