So Pitted is our classic West Coast Style Double IPA that's dry-hopped with wild amounts of Pacific Jade and Centennial hops which provide vibrant citrus and pine characteristics with a crisp bitter finish.

Amber body, mildly cloudy; thick off-white head, sculpted, sticky and long lasting, spidery fingers of lacing circle the glass. Heady aroma full of dank resin and sweet citrus fruit. Nicely balanced taste; low-key malt sweetness heightened with a firm yet not overpowering hop bitterness; pine resin. Heavy body; sticky with residual sugars.

This is a fine dank and resinous west coast India pale ale.

Poured at 46 °F; no canning data found on the can.

A: The beer is hazy light amber in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that never completely faded away and left lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of orange and grapefruit citrus are present in the nose along with notes of spicy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell and also has underlying hints of caramel hops. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a classic West Coast IPA and has a nice amount of bitterness.

Poured into a tulip glass. Dark copper color can't see through it. Smells of grapefruit, apricot and pine. Tastes follow up with the smell as well. This is a good example of how a west coast ipa should taste. The bitterness is there but doesn't punch you in the face like some. Yet again another tasty beer by b-52 brewing.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium to dark coppery amber with a three finger cream colored head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of citrus and piney hops, orange, pine needles, light mixed overripe tropical fruit and a touch of dankness. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and piney hops, orange, grapefruit, pine needles and some mixed tropical fruit. Some herbal and vegetal notes in the finish which has some nice alpha oil bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A West Coast style IPA with a unique hop bill that is mostly classic pine and citrus, but leans strongly in the mixed fruit and dry herbal direction of New Zealand style IPAs. The Centennial influence is obvious, so I'm attributing the fruit flavors to the Pacific Jade hops, which I'm not familiar with. Really solid and satisfying bitterness in the finish and an interesting off beat hop profile. I'd like to try some more from this brewery.
