Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear deep golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades slowly over time, leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a grapefruit and tangerine citrus smell mixed with some bready tastes as well as a nice caramel aroma. Along with these smells comes a bit of a pine and earthy smell as well as some notes of a light grain.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice dry cracker malt flavor mixed with a little bit of caramel and tangerine. There is a rather strong presence of a grapefruit and pine hop upfront, with the later getting stronger and the former getting slightly lighter. At the same time the flavor dries out even more and some herbal and earthy hops join in. This mix of flavors takes the taste profile to its end and leave one with a nice hopped up and crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a carbonation level that was high. For the slightly more dank tastes and the nice dry taste the feel is good and makes for a crisp sipper.
Overall – A nice dry and flavorful IPA is clean drinking in taste and feel.
