Diplomat is a dry, crisp and refreshing pilsner. Brewed in a style that is based on the original Pilsen recipe, it is the quintessential Czech pilsner. medium-light bodied with a clear, golden colour; Diplomat's initial bitterness moves into a sweet malt flavour followed by spicy, earthy flavours from the saaz hops ending with a refreshing dry finish.

The Diplomat Czech Pils is an outstanding offering by Citizen. The beer poured a cloudy yellow with white head that is leaving some lacing. The scent carries the common saaz flare....grass like base mixed with light biscuit twang. The taste has bready base with grass and peat presence. There is also slight bitter citrusy spice toward the end. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall the beer is a perfect sessionable pils and I highly recommend it.
