Enjoyed from the growler via DEPS in a snifter. This nice winter warmer pours a dark brown mahogany with a quickly dissipating head of off white foam that settles to a thin ring and light lacing. Nose of chocolate malts, ginger, cinnamon, and subtle booze notes. Flavors exceed the nose with cocoa touched with ginger on the front and middle of the taste that fades to a cinnamon note in the back with a light touch of brown sugar. Coating with low carbonation and a lightly dry finish that warms all the way down. Very nice. Nothing overpowering and very balanced for the style.
