This kettle soured German style ale features 50% wheat malt and is balanced with the use of lactobacillus. Very little to no hop presence allow the bready/biscuit characteristics to come through, with a nice tart Passion Fruit finish.

I only had this once and it was a 10 ounce draft at a local restaurant that has since had trouble with its taps. In any case, there was something odd in there and it was not especially sour fwiw. I do like a nice Berliner Weisse so this was disappointing.

Interesting. I like but also lots of things to kind of be like huh at like the passionfruit flavor comes in a weird way vs the way they describe it w the biscuits and shi. Braxton is in Kentucky and in Kentucky they jump as high as they can I think, so I'm sure people were jumping when making this beer

Pours a bright golden yellow color with a small cap of fleeting white head.
Aroma is bready malt with a yogurt like tang and some tropical fruitiness.
Nice biscuity wheat flavor is quickly cut by a strong lactic tartness. Taste of passion fruit comes last on fairly dry finish. Makes you want to go right back for another sip.
Full mouthfeel with a nice prickly carbonation.
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. A nice refreshing easy drinker.

Poured into a weizen glass. Purchased as a 6-pack from Kroger for $8.
L - Gold-amber, almost orange. One-finger cream head.
S - Passionfruit, mango, pineapple. A sort of hoppy funk is present.
T - Funky and sour for sure. Taste follows nose. Passionfruit, unripe banana, mango, pineapple, and toasted biscuit. Hints of potato bread.
F - Creamy, yet thin. Refreshing.
O - This one put a smile on my face from the first sip to the last. Summertrip is definitely one of the more "fun" beers I've had! Great to pair with any variety of blue or strongly-flavored cheese, or fish. I've never had a sour weissbier before, but I've got to say, it's a fun style. Buy a sixer with some of that change you've been saving in that mason jar of yours, call up a couple good friends, and enjoy it on a lake or riverside. It's that kind of beer.

Bright sour aroma, pours a clear light amber with a quickly fading white head. The flavor is light, with a refreshing tang of tartness. Light bodied, and quite refreshing. This isn't as sour as some, and although the label says it has passion fruit, I'm not really picking it up. Overall, a solid American Berlinerweisse.
