Pours onyx black with a creamy dark tan head. The nose features roast coffee, dark chocolate, toffee, stone fruit, and more than a bit of bourbon that presents as oak and vanilla.
The taste is very roasty, with the coffee and dark chocolate flavors forward, stone fruit mix palate, and oak and vanilla at the back of the palate with some alcohol warming. Fantastic flavor profile.
The mouthfeel is surprisingly on the watery side for a beer of this magnitude. Still, it is a more than worthy BBA imperial stout.
