A: The beer is nearly black in color. It poured with a short beige colored head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of blackberries are present in the nose along with notes of dark malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of blackberries along with strong notes of dark malts.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and faintly tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a lot of flavors of blackberries in the smell and taste but with all of the dark malts it seems a little more like a stout than it is a Berliner Weisse.

Dessert Berliner weisse with blackberry puree, cinnamon, vanilla beans, and lactose. Poured from a can into a Braxton pub glass. The pour is dark red in color and quite hazy with about two fingers of pink fine foam on top. Impressive bloom and retention for a sour beer. On the nose I get some fresh lemon, fain berry, some vanilla, and a hint of baking spice.
Light body with a firm feel and a refreshing flavor. Up front I get a hint of fresh bread, then a sharp twang of lemon and blackberry rushes in and takes over. Around mid-palate the vanilla creeps in and then on the finish I get the cinnamon. Very nice profile. Nothing stands out too assertively. The flavors are well-balanced against each other and the acidity is mild and refreshing. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.
