L: A brilliant hue of blueberry purée. Forms a short-lived head that leaves a tightly clusters pattern of small lacy splotches on the glass.
S: The black currant dominates over a subtler blueberry (opposite of what I’m accustomed to). The cherry is likely in the tartness somewhere but is difficult to pinpoint. There is some vanilla and a hint of a warming spice like cinnamon.
T: Follows the nose. No cinnamon there. The flavor is not all that powerful, but decent when considering the low ABV and relatively high filtration.
F: I didn’t care for the watery mouthfeel. Don’t know if this was to avoid grit and seeds, but I may have preferred those.
O: For the ABV this is still an impressive brew. I’m quiet the fan of the smoothie sour, but would have liked a little more of a beer here though.
