This 9.0% ABV imperial stout starts off with loads of chocolate, caramel, and roasted malt flavors. Hops and lactose in the boil add balancing bitterness and residual sweetness. Sea salt in the boil, cacao nibs, and caramel in the fermenter make this a salty-sweet dessert stout.

Aroma was a really nice mix of chocolate, roasted malt, caramel and espresso beans.
Taste was mildly sweet with chocolate and roasted malts showing up first. Espresso beans, and some salty caramel.
Has around a medium body with light carbonation but overall a nice feel.
Definitely a dessert beer thats worth trying.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high beige colored head that died down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of caramel and roasted malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional favors of chocolate with some bitterness and saltiness in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I thought that the taste of this beer had a very nice balance between the chocolate/caramel and salty flavors.

Ordered this from Tavour, chilled, poured into an imperial pint glass.
Look: Dark brown with a brown/tan two finger head that slowly dissipated and left a thin layer as well as a nice ring of foam as we drank.
Smell: Smells like salted caramel up front, and sweet light roast.
Taste: sweet, caramel, roasted malt notes with hints of sweet chocolate, a little bitter and some salty caramel that linger with the chocolate. No boozy notes for a 9% ABV
Feel: Medium body beer with a nice tickle of carbonation that hangs as it warmed. Sweet, almost sticky initial mouthfeel but no drying and not too heavy like syrupy like some sweet stouts.
We always look at other peoples reviews and were a little perplexed in other reviews (this was an add for BA, but you can dig other places and find reviews). For us this is a sweet milk stout with nice caramel and lingering sweet chocolate just like described on the can. We like Braxton Labs creativity and this was a nice addition to their stout series.
Cheers everyone!
