Ordered from Tavour, chilled, rolled, and poured into an Imperial pint glass.
Look: purple-ish and cloudy hue, small finger sized light purple-ish head that dissipated quickly leaving puree on the side of the glass as we drank.
Smell: earthy blueberry and raspberry with malt in the background, very odd after notes of old earthy berry that smells like wet grass or ripened hay
Taste: super light earthy blueberry and raspberry, super light malt, then lingering watery taste at the end that is not appealing. No hop and no booze at all. The after notes in the nose are ripening hay or grass. Not appetizing at all
Feel: super light for a beer that has as much pulp and cloudy berry hues.
We had high expectations for a fruity sour that is labeled a smoothy. Braxton labs is a mixed bag, sometimes they nail it, this time, not so much. The smell and taste of this one is WAY too earthy, like ripening hay. Pretty gross actually. Almost like mildew or mold. Sour is cool and we like a little funk but not like mold or ripening hay.
