"A new rendition of a previously brewed dry hopped pilsner, this crispy boi is delicately hopped with all new zealand hops. A single malt mash provides the simple, toasty malt character and a traditional bittering hop addition keeps this pilsner close to style to start. But a whirlpool addition of Nelson Sauvin hops and a small dry hopping dose of more Nelson Sauvin, Wakatu, and Pacific Sunrise brings a white wine and citrus flavor to this otherwise crisp and drinkable lager."

I am trying a 5oz taster of this beer off the tapper at the brewery. It poured a clear light golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had mild earth, grain, and floral hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with crisp grain and malt base supported by a floral hop finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Thanks Richard and Alanna

A: pale straw in color, without much head.

S: light and fruity.

T: slight tropical fruit, don't mild malt, and a hobby of melon in the finish.

M: I think the growler lost some CO2, and therefore I cannot criticize on that.

O: light, refreshing, and slightly fruity. I imagine with a little more carbonation, this would be real good.

Arrived in a pint glass from draught pour at Braxton Labs.

L: Arrived a lovely clear pale gold, topped with a couple fingers of fluffy white foam. Decent retention, good lacing.

S: And here the troubles began for me. The aroma is frighteningly hoppy for a pilsner, and more suited to something with an IPL label. All I got from it was intense bitter orange and floral perfume.

T: Exactly as the nose advertised, at least for me. This opens with a harsh barrage of bitter underripe orange and concentrated floral / pollen blasts. It rode the very ragged edge of my hop tolerance, and while I could drink it, those notes were all I could perceive. There may as well have been no malt used as far as I could tell.

F: Light bodied and lively.

O: I would not repeat. Those better disposed to hops may enjoy this more, though possibly with the "more akin to an IPL" caveat.
