A: Medium brown in color with a slightly off white head. The foam settles out rather quickly, but it is being poured from a growler so that can be expected.
S: Light grain note, but I am not getting much off this one.
T: Malty up front with some toffee notes, and maybe a hint of chocolate. Hops are a little harder to find, but they are earthy, with very faint floral notes, and perhaps a touch of leather.
M: Medium in body, low carbonation, and the finish has a bit of a bite to it.
O: Overall this reads a little closer to a brown ale than a bitter for me. I'd like to see the hops take a little more of centerstage.
