Dark Charge Labs: Coconut Cream Puff 2021

22 ounce wax capped bottle, bottle number 0071/1400. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch cola-like tan head that fizzled away kinda quickly. Not much lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coconut, vanilla, cinnamon, cream and some roasted malt. I think the taste is pretty much like the aroma for the most part, but there's also the addition of some burnt/charred malt, bourbon and oaky flavors. None of the flavors overpower the others, but I do think the cinnamon lingers in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit rich with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a tasty brew, certainly worth trying if you get the chance to!

Pitch black with a thin mocha foam
Moderate coconut flavor, wish it would be a little more.
Overall, a nice variant of the Dark Charge, enjoyed it!

Look - great black and thick with a really nice tan head and rimming
Smell - sweet coconut cream puff, chocolate coconut and cream
Taste - sweet chocolate coconut cream like the smell, nice balance between all
Feel - medium full body with a might light carb and slight cream
Oerall - pretty much just like the name. Slightly thicker and this would be REALLY good
