500 ml bottle, 2021 vintage. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a thistle glass, the beer pours a somewhat clear orange/copper color with about an inch light tan head that stuck around for a while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like rum, fig, dark fruit and some caramel. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some brown sugar, oak and toffee flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating but also seems a bit thin to me at times. I thought this was a good overall brew. Definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

Pours a beautiful rich copper color with a sizzling light tan head that decides to move on rather quickly. The nose is rum, a touch of toffee, and lots of stone fruit, including the fig mentioned on the bottle and dark cherries.
The rum and toffee notes are present but in the background - this beer is all about the fig and dark cherry flavors, which work well with the base scotch ale to provide a very drinkable BA scotch ale, something we don’t see all that often in the beer nerd universe.
The mouthfeel is a little watery and softer than I’d prefer to see with a beer of this magnitude (9.6% ABV). Still a fun little ride, I look forward to more Braxton beers in my beer nerd future.

From the 500 ml bottle in a snifter. This solid brew pours a nice ruby
tinged brown color with a decent head of off white foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin wafting layer, and sports some faint lacing. Nose of
rum, brown sugar, and fig with faint oak. Flavors surpass the nose with
brown sugar, light oak, rum, fig and date notes, faint cherry, and hints of
cranberry. Nice mouth feel; medium body, smooth, rich, lightly warming,
low carbonation, and a sweet faintly dry finish.
Overall, a very solid brew
Cheers
