Look - Super dark brown with lacing
Smell and taste - Bourbon caramel. but all and all, lacking much depth in smell and taste
Feel - Medium full body with a slight carb
OVerall - needs more taste and smell

500 ml bottle, 2021 vintage, big thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours a murky dark brown color with just maybe a quarter inch tan head that was gone pretty much right away. Not much lacing at all but that was expected. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, bourbon, booze and earthiness. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some brown sugar, oak and toffee flavors. Has a boozy kick for sure! Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit syrupy with a low amount of carbonation. Thought this was an enjoyable, strong barleywine. Really glad I got to try this one!

From the 500ml bottle in a snifter. This amazing brew pours a dark and
murky brown with a light head of khaki foam that sizzles to a thin ring,
faint clumping pool, and shows subtle lacing. A bit of a swirl and this one
has some mighty long legs! Nose of bourbon, oak, vanilla, cherry, date, fig,
raisin, brown sugars, and mellow boozy goodness. Flavors hit the ball out of
the park.....dark sugars, date bread, raisin, oak, rich bourbon, cherry, sherry, vinous
merlot wine touches, vanilla, fig, earthy malt textures, and a melange of dried fruit
notes on the rear with black and blueberry, as well as orange zest.
Excellent mouth feel; medium body, smooth as silk, moderately coating, rich,
low carbonation, and finishing medium dry.
Overall, all I can say is this brewery has more than impressed me and the little
lady----these guys ROCK!
Cheers!
