A sweet & smirky collaboration with Busken Bakery celebrating the most iconic cookie in Greater Cincinnati! This smiley stout is bold enough to light a city and boasts delightful notes of creamy vanilla with a deliciously nutty essence. With undeniably sweet similarities to Busken Bakery’s grinning, melt-in-your-mouth, iced sugar cookie - the familiar flavors will no doubt put you in a good mood.

22 ounce yellow wax capped bottle, 2022 vintage, bottle #0162/1200. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch frothy tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like vanilla, sugar cookies, almonds and roasted malt. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some bourbon and earthy flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, definitely reminds me of a sugar cookie but a little more in the aroma than in the taste. Hoping Braxton will revisit this one for a future Dark Charge release!
