A single barrel aged stout brewed with local honey! Chocolate & roasted malts lay a classic stout base before an addition of honey brings a super sweet, floral & spicy depth of flavor. After aging in a New Riff bourbon barrel for 14 months, the result is a sweet stout that brings milk chocolate, floral honey, deep vanilla & oak to your glass.

From the 500 ml bottle in a snifter. This interesting imperial pours a
coal black with a moderate head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring,
faint dusty / clumping pool, and no lacing. Nose of bourbon, honey,
brown sugars, vanilla, dark chocolate, and coffee hints. Flavors
surpass the nose with coffee, fudge, honey, bourbon, oak, vanilla,
and dark cherry notes mingling with herbal elements from the honey.
Mouth feel is full, rich, smooth, moderately coating, warming, light
carbonation, and a sweet bourbon and honey laced finish.
Overall----nice!
Cheers

500 ml bottle, no dating that I could find on it. Purchased at Party Source about a month ago. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like honey, vanilla, bourbon, roasted malt and some coffee. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some oak, earthiness and dark fruity flavors noticeable too. Starts off sweet but does have a nice earthiness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's rich and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good, enjoyable brew. Definitely worth trying if you get the chance!
