16 ounce can, canned on 11/30/23. Part of the 2023 Dark Charge package. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, cream, and some bourbon. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak, coffee, caramel, earthy, dark bread and burnt/charred malt flavors. Nice balance with the sweet and bitter earthy flavors here. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, it did remind me of a Boston Cream donut but with some oaky and earthy flavors too. Certainly worth trying if you come across some!
