In collaboration with the B-Line, we've fired up the engine again with this Dark Charge variant that celebrates barrel aged beer and Northern Kentucky. Indulge in the rich and velvety embrace of our bourbon barrel aged stout with a tantalizing touch of bourbon cream. The exquisite brew marries the robust character of a classic stout with the influence of charred oak barrels that once cradled Kentucky's finest bourbon. Aged to perfection, it boasts a deep ebony hue and a symphony of flavors. Roasted malt and dark chocolate notes harmonize with the subtle smokiness and vanilla undertones imparted by the barrels. A whisper of bourbon cream is added, providing a luscious, creamy sweetness that elevates each sip to a divine level of decadence. Pour a glass, and take your taste buds on a ride through the B-Line.

22 ounce wax capped bottle, 2023 vintage. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, bourbon, cream, roasted malt, dark chocolate and caramel. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt, oak, smoke, dark bread and coffee flavors. Smells sweeter than it tastes, but all the flavors mesh well and no one flavor overpowers the others. Nice amount of barrel character. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's coating and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good brew overall, definitely worth trying if you get the chance!
