Sampled yesterday with some friends, chalkboard said it was brewed December 1st of last year, pint was $3.50, must have been happy hour because it said all pints were $4.75 on the menu
A-Almost black color but still lots of dark brown in the body, small 1/4 creamy tan head, settled almost immediately, not much retention or lacing
S-Nuttiness, grain, roasted malt and barley, bready malt aromas, some chocolate, and brown sugar
T-Started off with a dry taste, then faded into a chewy middle, ended with a charcoal-like texture at first, later on it became a little sweeter with a hint of cocoa and even more chewiness, some sugar, and more of a dry feeling in the finish, seemed like there was too much oatmeal in this one at times, maybe could have used some sweet malt or hoppiness to add some complexity
M-Chewy and dry mouthfeel, medium to thick body, not enough carbonation, taste only lasted a couple seconds
D-Could not even finish my pint, heavy and too much of the same thing going on, seemed to be low in alcohol but it did not say, somewhat smooth
Usually a big fan of oatmeal stouts and this was mediocre at best, would not drink again if I ever even go back to this place, not recommended, good thing I did not just order a growler of this without tasting it first
