Beer is opaque black. A fine tan head sits atop the brew which reduces to a thin skin of foam before too long.
Aroma is a no-brainer: coffee.
Coffee carries over to the palate as well, but it is not overdone; dark roasted malts are present on the palate as well. Plenty bitter, too, though not overpowering. Didn't notice any hoppiness, though it wasn't missed. A little astringency finishes things up.
This is a well-done coffee stout and easily drinkable.
