This golden, bright, funky sour ale is a celebration of flavors as well as Arcadia Brewing Company's 21st Anniversary! This unique ale started with a base of strong golden and brown ales, blended with barrel-aged sour ale, and a multi-strain culture pitched after primary fermentation. The addition of peaches and apricots during the aging process gives this ale strong flavors of tropical fruit, as well as a pleasant acidity, mild barrel flavor, and warming character. Funk aromas mimic fermented peaches and apricots, paired with a mild oak and alcohol heat. A dry mouthfeel with bright carbonation rounds out this unique and delightfully complex wild ale. Purchase a bottle-conditioned, limited edition bottle and let the flavors develop!

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled in late 2017. Had to remove the cork with a wine key. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with minimal head or lacing. Mild streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy peaches, apricot, lemon, lime, pear, red/green apple, melon, fruit skin, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and white bread; with lighter notes of honey, oaken vanilla, pepper, leathery/musty funk, yeast/oak earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, peaches, apricots, oak barrel, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy peaches, apricot, lemon, lime, pear, red/green apple, melon, fruit skin, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, and white bread; with lighter notes of honey, oaken vanilla, pepper, leathery/musty funk, yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy/tart/tangy peaches, apricot, lemon, lime, pear, red/green apple, melon, fruit skin, white wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, honey, oaken vanilla, light leathery/musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, peaches, apricots, oak barrel, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a nice malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero cloying/puckering flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Mild carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, fairly acidic/tangy, and lightly tannic mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 10%. Overall this is a very nice fruited sour/wild ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, peaches, apricots, oak barrel, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the big ABV with the mellowly acidic/tangy finish, not overly lactic. Really well balanced fruit, Brett/Lacto, oak barrel, and pale/wheat malts. Not too sweet/heavy for the ABV, some nice adequate drying on the finish. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Low carbonation did not affect drinkability at all.
