Summadayze IPASummadayze IPA
Notes: A super-drinkable IPA that can be sold to beer lovers of all stripes. Hopped with a mix of Nugget, Cascade, Columbus and Zeus with notes of pineapple and grapefruit, the hops shine throughout while the beer maintains balance. Characteristics include subtle malt flavor, crisp dryness, and a white foam head. Designed for daily drinking in Florida, because as natives know, every day is a Summa-day.

Florida craft beer...hit or miss in my experience...this is mostly a "miss" in my estimation but not bad...not loving the after taste, but I'm drinking it with a pretty girl on the Venice Beach Pier in Florida

A dark cherry amber color. Fairly large off-white head that disappeared quickly.
Sweet malt and citrus aroma.
Grapefruit and caramel taste.
Medium-bodied.
A bit underwhelming.

Very hazy with a persistent head. Decent enough malt flavor with citrus hop notes. A bit yeasty for me but tolerable. Just a hint of alcohol heat in the finish. Overall a good, solid mid-pack IPA. Not sure I would seek it out but I certainly wouldn't turn one down!

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a nonic pint glass.

A: Crystal clear gold with lots of visible carbonation. A half-finger of white head forms but doesn't stick around. This is pretty for sure.

S: Grassy and tropical fruit hoppiness up front, with lesser notes of citrus and dank. Light cracker malt body. Not a bad aroma, but nothing inspiring or exciting.

T: Citrusy orange and lemon, with less tropical fruits. Mild dank, herbal, and grassy. There's mild mint flavor as well. A light cracker body mostly stays out of the way, but there's a minerally or hard water character I don't care for here. Citrus pith bitterness lasts after the swallow.

M: Light body, good carbonation, and fairly low alcohol presence for style.

O: Not a bad beer, but I had higher hopes for a canned IPA that unfortunately were dashed. Nothing that I'd seek out, especially after I cracked a Guayabera after this...and the the difference was dramatic.

L-a clear dark golden color with a good white head that lingers
S-a pine and citrus with a slight sweet aroma that might be pineapple
T-at first sip you get a malt with almost no hops, but then on the aftertaste the hop hits hard with a pine flavor that stays with you
F-light body and medium carbonation
O-a great beer that is different than most IPAs because the hard hop taste sneaks up on you in the aftertaste

12oz can poured into a snifter. The darker color (a dark yellow/orangish color) and aroma suggests there is a lot more malts than your typical IPA. The hops are floral with hints of citrus with some soapy notes as well. The taste is balanced between bisquity/bready malts with the hops coming in to the finish. Overall, a decent local Florida IPA.

The beer comes in a pale amber, with a slight haze.

The aroma jumps out of pineapple candy, sticky mango, tropical air freshener/shampoo/soap, juicy oranges.

The beer follows with that pineapple and orange peel flavor upfront, a bready sweet malt, onto a woody and earthy hop quality onto green piney aftertaste.

The mouthfeel is a highlight with gentle carbonation and a pillowy mouthfeel.

12 oz can, w/o freshness info that I could find.

Pours near clear typical Amber, moderate off white cap and leaving nice fine and slippery strands of lace

Sniff is citric with oranges coming to mind

Notes of more oranges, ginger and some light lime

All in all a nice crisp and pleasing citric IPA.

Had on tap - American IPA with good bitterness and floral hop notes on top. Mild smell, but lots of flavor. Will definitely have again if I can find it.

12oz can, sample from the brewery.

Brewers intention is a FL West Coast IPA ... breakin it down hard. Some lacing from the slowly dissipating head, hazed amber hue. Juicy hop aroma with citrus rind and guava, hint of malt and yeast as well. Super smooth, a little slick and a little creamy on the palate with some body as well. Ample hop bitterness, citrus rind on the palate. Slight peppery bitterness and caramel in the middle. Finishes with a long linger of hop flavor, a kiss of alcohol, and some toasted bread.

A good IPA, sort of middle of the pack which means it is certainly worth a go with all of the IPAs in the market today.

Pours from can a hazy light orange, half inch of white foam, spray of lace trails the liquid. Smell: berry / seedy, dried apricot, dried pineapple. Taste: weird seedy / husky flavor (like sesame seeds?), citrus rind, dried apple, notes of steely caramel and resin. Light bodied, fleeting. All over the map though certainly fine for a 100° day or watching thunderstorms blow by.

Mild tropcial fruit hop notes with medium+ toasty malt bill the borders on "ashtray". I was really not a fan. Possibly too much victory malt, maybe its just something I'm sensitive to...

Pours a clear yellow-gold color with white head. Some citrus, light grass notes, and a bit of spice on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes bitter. Ok IPA, but not great.
