The collaboration between Cigar City and Darwin Brewing Company embraces the symmetry between Amazonian and American culture. The beer was influenced by produce, spices, and traditional raw materials used in Peru. Tamamuri wood and aji limo pepper complemented the base beer, a German style Maibock.

650 mL bottle poured into a wine glass. Clear amber. Medium off-white head. Nutty and bready malt smell. Kinda sweet smelling, too. Bready malts. Sweet caramel and toffee. Then peppers kick in. Spicy finish. Medium body. Slick and oily. I get no wood out of it. Decent beer. Almost ruined by peppers.
