This bold Imperial Stout is truly a Big Deal. Chocolate and black malt balance out this thick, rich, creamy, chocolatey, roasty brew topped with thick brown head. An ideal winter brew.

My first darwin beer. appearance is spot on, pours dark with a nice head that sticks around. Smell is fantastic, it lets you know it's not you run of the mill stout, almost a jolly pumpkin foreshadowing. Taste is chocolatly and a nice roasty touch. I'm a big fan!

Black as night with a thick film of espresso colored foam.
Smell is burnt toast & baking chocolate, hinting at serious bitterness.
Taste toasted malts, bitter chocolate, nuts, ashtray. Balance is solid though bitter is the word here.
Weak body for an Imp Stout. No warming or whiskey/rum notes. Needs a serious tweaking/rewrite on the recipe.
