12 oz can with a canning date of August 4, 2024 stamped on the bottom.
Appearance. Fine looking copper colored body with high clarity but it comes with a short and short lived head.
True to style. Improved with some warming. Good balance of sweet malts and spicy hops.

Poured from a freshness dated 12 oz. can: very attractive reddish hue with a foamy, sustained off-white head.
The aroma is perfumy with some spicy hops. It does not have the typical aroma of an Oktoberfest bier that has hints of noble hops. This lager is similar to an amber or Vienna lager.
According to the can label, a total of four breweries participated in creating this Oktoberfest beer, and perhaps that was part of the problem as it missed the mark. As it stands, the flavors of faintly roasted malt and molasses are more appropriate for a Vienna Lager rather than a Oktoberfest or even a Marzen. I am enjoying drinking this, but I expected something different. I don't know why so many American breweries feel the need to make their Oktoberfest beers so sweet to almost cloying.

Grime the brewer “ Brewed in collaboration with our sister breweries, Catawba, Faubourg and Palmetto, our Oktoberfest is crafted with imported German hops and malt and has a rich toasted malt flavor balanced by spicy hop notes. It finishes smooth and clean and is the perfect beer to keep you dancing to that thumping polka beat.”
