Pours a one-fingered white head that fades quickly and leaves a little lace. Cloudy amber color, unfiltered so there are some chunky bits on the bottom. Nose is hoppy. Starts with malts & hops, finishes hoppy. This is supposed to be a Belgian style amber but is way too hoppy and does not compare to a true Belgian. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. The ABV is 4.8%.

Dark amber with a fluffy tan/cream head, very highly carbonated - fizzed out the top of the bottle, which I've had happen with Kross' bottle conditioned beers when stored at room temperature (as this one was at the beer store) on occasion. Hmm... A fruity (apple/pear), herbal nose. Interesting.
VERY fizzy at first, but it simmers down after a while. A vegetal, almost celery-like flavor hides a Red Delicious apple tinged maltiness and earthy background flavors. There's also some caramel and clove hiding out back there as well. Complex as hell but not for the right reasons IMO. I generally like Kross brews, but maybe I just don't get this one. I need to try another bottle to see if the fizziness and celery flavors are there typically, or if the bottle I bought had a hint of contamination.

This was pretty decent. Somewhat of a Belgian Dubbel, but not quite. The beer is a somewhat orange-ish brown color. There was quite a bit of head. (I've noticed that this can vary, as it is bottle conditioned). Taste has a bit of caramel sweetness to it. The taste is still however a little light for the style.

Pours a orange/brown color, with a decent off-white head. On the nose I can smell the aroma of caramel malt. On the palate there is hints, of caramel, orange peels, apples, nice sweetness, slightly grainy, fruity, and maybe grapes. Mouthfeel is slightly watery. Good brew...
