As we were walking up, the brewer was sitting at a picnic table and greated us. I only tried the Lightcatcher and Firecatcher but I thought the Lightcatcher was easily the best stout I had on my Colorado trip.
It might have been the time of day we showed up, but we were the only ones there for a bit and enjoyed chatting it up with the brewer as he poured our drinks. The vibe at this place was much more laid back than other places, which is right up my alley. Wish I had more time to have tried their other beers on tap.

I hate to give somebody a bad review however in a city where there are countless breweries of mediocre quality I think Beryl's has a little way to go.
A nice tap room full of barrels but based on what I had on tap I'm really not jumping around to wait to see what comes out of the barrel
Tried the pale ale,Saison and a barrel age stout,
Pale ale - crystal malt overload ,seems to be a few more issues also
Saison- VERY malty, nothing Belgian about it
Barrel aged Stout- Vanilla and then some more vanilla,an un-natural amount of vanilla.
Fancy website,that where it ends...

A-I stopped in on a Monday evening after work the atmosphere was mellow. The layout is pretty typical: some wood tables of various sizes up front, a smaller bar, and brew equipment in the back. The "patio" out front looks like it could be a good hangout in the summer. I use quotes because it is mostly a parking lot, but still.... The space is airy with tall ceilings and some local artwork on the walls. Candles give it a bit of warmth.
Ser-The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. I didn't chat too much, but they knew all of the beers they were pouring and could answer questions readily. The beers were served at the right temperature and in the right glassware for the style.
Sel-There were seven beers on tap when I visited: three barrel aged beers and four non-BA beers. Interestingly, the three BA beers were the same base beer as three of the non-BA beers. I guess the concept is that a customer can compare a base beer with a BA version of that same beer. It is kinda cool, but it does limit selection somewhat.
Q-I liked each of the beers I tried (a saison in BA and non-BA form and a porter in BA and non-BA form). It was cool to see how the barrel aging had altered the base beer. Flavors were solid and, in the case of the BA porter, well above-average.
V-Prices were pretty average to slightly high.
O-I like Baryl's and I appreciate the somewhat unique approach to their beers. I'll be heading back here again for sure.

this is a really cool spot, and while sure, rino may now be saturated with upstart little breweries, i think they all offer something unique, and in beryls case, quality. the layout is not much different from any other, wood laden tap room up front, expansive brew house in the back with limited cold storage but room to grow. the brewer has apparently been in the game a little while, and it shows. they have a cool mix of styles, baltic porter, saison, american pale, all available as base beers or aged in unique barrels, brandy, white wine, whiskey, etc. i thought all of the beer was very well made, i thought some of it was even outstanding, and i thought all of the people serving and hanging out were real friendly, and thats all i really need to revisit a place. affordable and comfortable, one of those places that id like to belly up to in cold weather and drink barrel aged porter. i will absolutely be back, i think they will have some big things coming now that the new brewery kinks are mostly worked out. definitely worth a visit.
