Surprisingly amber colored in the snifter. Just a slight bit of foam. Tart and spritzy on the tongue. Vinegar and sawdust smell.
I have to say this tastes exactly like virtually every other Berlinerweiss I've tried over the years. It's acidic, of course, and extremely light bodied. It's just plain sour with lactic acid in the finish. It sets my teeth on edge, and it's no fun on the gums after some sipping.
Alright, this stuff is wasted on me, but to be fair it seems like a workmanlike brew for the style that is tremendously tart. On tap at the brewpub on South Pearl in Denver.

very cool that such a new brewery is doing a berliner. this is a gorgeous brewhouse with what appears to be infinite resources, so why now? i just commend such a bold brew so early on. its real nice too, appropriately cloudy and a little closer to copper than to yellow, which is interesting, maybe some darker wheat malt. frothy in looks and feel, nice and creamy white head with fine lacing, and lots of suds on the palate too. the nose is tart from the sour mash, lactic acid and lemon hints with the wheat. the flavor is very similar, it starts out a little light, maybe just wading in, dipping the toe, but the lacto comes on strong and the beer finishes quite sour. nothing safe about it. tart and very dry, fermentation is quite complete here. i dont know how well received this beer is, but my girlfriend and i have both already been back a few times for it, hopefully it will stay in their lineup and they will shoot for more ambitious sours down the road. this is a great berliner, one of the best in denver.
