new one from platt park brewed with puffed jasmine rice. its not a bad beer at all, but its just a lot less flavorful than it sounds like it should be. super super pale, almost looks like a less carbonated coors light in the glass, same shade, but it cant really hold its white bubbly head. it smells less like the rice, i wanted hints of jasmine in here, and i dont get them. it instead smells like a crafted adjunct lager, mild sweetness. the lager yeast contributes more to the flavor of the beer than does the malt, which is interesting and not all the way appealing. for being so light, its a little filling too because of this, but it is crisp and clean in the finish, and plenty refreshing on a warm day. it just seems like a more ambitious beer than it is, jasmine rice, but its not there in the taste at all. good not great, a fine beer for the BMC drinkers looking for a craft option, and for those in need of a lighter pint after a long night on the heavy stuff.
