Can at Euclid Hall Bar & Kitchen, Denver, CO
A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a narrow white collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Strong aromas of watermelon Jolly Rancher candy are present in the nose.
T: The taste is packed with flavors that are similar to watermelon Jolly Rancher candy but there is no associated sweetness and just a touch of sourness.
M: It feels light-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The smell and taste of watermelon in this beer really blew me away.

Shocked by how good this is. Very tart, with a super clean, watermelon jolly rancher, finish. This blows the AV Briny Melon out of the water. Took a flier on a draft pour of this, and it was the best berliner I had during my time in Colorado.

this one has gotten a lot more sour, and a lot better, over time. the watermelon stains it electric pink, and the aroma is pretty awesome, fresh and juicy and pulpy, but the flavor is like a watermelon jolly rancher candy, sweet and sort of artificial, very strange. nice clean lacto sourness to it though, citrusy and bright, but i mean, this thing is really super sour. major pucker and acid all the way through, finishes sweet and sour both, with the candy aspects of the watermelon more forward at this stage. its a tough fruit to use well, and they do a nice enough job with it. its so sour though that half a glass is almost to much, they would have done well to cut it off a little earlier i think. the color and the style make it a hit at the brewery though, everyone from young girls to middle aged newbies seem to appreciate how different it is, and i am glad these guys have found their niche. this isnt as complex as other sour and wild beer i have had from them, but its pretty nice in the summertime, if you can handle one with this much acidity to it. better than many watermelon beers, but its not as true to the fruit i dont think. one and done, but i liked it.
