First offering from platte park. Love the local breweries! Dig the hops used , the marketing, and artwork on the can. No abv listed? Not cool… drinkers should know what they’re getting into .
L: pale/ off-white pour with eggshell white head, not great lacing or head retention for an ipa. Any malt here?
S: nice fruity/ citrusy aroma. Sprite/ spritz/ fruit punch. Reminds me of Green grapes.
T: light malt sweetness gives way to light hoppy tropical hit. Galaxy is there and citra too, but it’s very understated and muted. Hops do not linger long and it finishes clean. Nothing crazy or memorable here. Def “ crushable” but not something I’d order more than once
F: a bit thin, watery and not creamy really at all. After drinking some other great NE IPAs recently this really falls short .
O: 5.8 % session ipa just comes across as a watery/ understated version of what this should be. Hops are muted, malt is limited, everything just falls short for me. Still, I like the hop combo, beer is clean and crushable. Nothing I hate, just easy to pass on to something more interesting in a sea of offerings. …
