Served on tap at GB in Pasadena.

Appearance: Served in 0.5L Nonic glass filled just to 0.5L mark with a thick and blillowing head on top. The head is a light tan colored and is very stiff and sticky on the glass. The beer is a nice black color with slight transparency of light. The head leaves perfect lacing on the glass each time it is tipped. This a good looking beer.

Smell: Light toast scent and a sweet malt aroma. Good volume to the aroma and a touch of coffee.

Taste: Clean taste of toasted wheat bread crust, burnt almonds, and light malty crispness. The roasty/burnt flavor slides into a mild sourness that blends nicely with the other flavors. A very slight touch of hop bitterness finishes this beer. There is little aftertaste, but what it there is slgiht sour/roasty residue.

Mouthfeel: Slightly drying on the palate but it does not leave my mouth uncomfortable. The lack of aftertaste allows this beer to wash the palate slightly.

Drinkability: I had 2 glasses of this beer over dinner and was quite pleased with it. This is probably the best beer they make at GB. Clean and tasty, I would recommend folks stop in and try this. It is well done to style and tasty.
