Appearance: amber in color with a 2" head that slowly falls to a spotty surface covering.
Smell: light bread aroma.
Taste: caramel, bread, dark fruit, soft nuttiness, and an earthy bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crisp to start, less crisp at the finish.
Overall: this is a nice simple amber ale that has a good flavor.

Poured from a growler into a 0.5 liter mug: color is amber, very pronounced a little opaque, head is very light tan presenting with a small head then providing some lace on the interior of the glass.
Smell is a huge blast of toast, caramel, biscuit and bread; lighter earthy hops providing balance.
Taste is slightly less emphatic than the aroma with more bread/biscuit like flavors, solid caramel and toast, with very subtle earthy hops. Hops and bitterness are just enough to complement the big malt base.
Mouthfeel is also very pleasant the strong malt flavor is pronounced but not cloying, with mild carbonation and bitter flavoring to balance.
Overall, this is an exceptional amber ale.
