From the tap at The Dog and Bull in May of 2022. This just might be unretired. In a clear pint glass, its color is brown-amber, light, bright and moderately translucent. There's a nice breadlike sweet malt aroma. The head is modest, just slightly off-white and seems to be relatively enduring. It drinks pleasantly, albeit, not spectacularly. Although malty, it's not too sweet and there's more hops within the taste than there was to smell. Certainly, it's more bitter than Irish versions of red ales, especially during the finish. There's also some pretty glass lacing to bear witness that the body is supple. Yep, pleasant, but unspectacular.
