Pours a highly translucent amber-orange, a bit like a Lucozade, with a finger of head but modest retention and lacing. Smells oxidized--orange gumdrops and a suggestion of wet paper towels alongside the floral hops and bitterness suggesting an American barleywine. Tastes sharp, with dueling pungent bitterness and sweet citrus notes, surrounded by a strong malt backbone. Mouthfeel is thin but smooth, leading to a bitter pomelo finish.
