Looks nice- pours black with lots of foam. Taste is mediocre- too sweet and boring. Cream soda and burnt coffee predominates. Some chocolate, but neither the coffee or the chocolate really taste that great. Burnt malts on the finish. Watery mouthfeel. Overall it’s ok, but I won’t drink it again unless the other options are bad.

Bottled 12/12/18; drank 4/21/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dark brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a minimal khaki head; almost no lace.
Cream, dark roast coffee bean, fresh earth & faint dark chocolate notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Cream, water & mild dark roast coffee bean flavors up front; faint dark chocolate notes on the finish.
Inoffensive, but mild to the point of pointless. I've had my last.

A little too frothy and too much coffee with other flavors. Not a bad beer but not worth seeking out. Just a hint at a potential good brew underneath but not fully realized.

Pretty full for a 5.5 abv stout.....medium body, medium carbs, and a silky mouthfeel. Taste and smell are coffee forward with roasted malts, toffee, and chocolate adding some depth. Overall, an very good representation of the style.
