Bottled 12/12/18; drank 4/21/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dark brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a minimal khaki head; almost no lace.
Cream, dark roast coffee bean, fresh earth & faint dark chocolate notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Cream, water & mild dark roast coffee bean flavors up front; faint dark chocolate notes on the finish.
Inoffensive, but mild to the point of pointless. I've had my last.

Appearance - The beer was a murky black color with a high head crowning the snifter.
Smell - The vanilla is most dominant in the nose, but coffee is definitely there.
Taste - My first impression is that I am drinking bubbly vanilla coffee. The coffee is fairly tart. The vanilla creates a creamy impression, but the beer is unable to linger because of a lack of body. Vanilla does surprising carry into the aftertaste. This is surprising because of the carbonation.
Mouthfeel - For a stout, I found the beer to be too thin. The carbonation might have something to do with my impression. Stouts should have more viscosity than the average ale.
Overall - I really wanted to like this beer. The taste needs to be hiked up a notch, and the mouthfeel is too thin.
