Appearance - The ale was straw yellow with a white head. Being aged on blue Jolly Ranchers, I was hoping the beer would be blue.
Smell - The nose was sour with a unique hint of Jolly Ranchers.
Taste - The beer proves to be quite sour with notes of lemon and sour apple. Toward the back is where the magic happens. Liquid blue raspberry Jolly Ranchers are definitely present, but fade quickly. The beer finishes as a dry pucker.
Mouthfeel - If the beer were a little thicker, I wonder if the Rancher sweetness would stay.
Overall - I could not drink a lot of this, but it is a very unique beer. It is certainly worth seeking.
