On firkin at the 1st anniversary, the beer is Night Goat with raspberries.
Appearance - The beer was a murky black color with a slight mocha head crowning the glass.
Smell - The raspberry is most dominant in the nose, but coffee is definitely there.
Taste - My first impression is that I am drinking raspberry coffee. The coffee is fairly tart. The raspberry tastes very natural and is obviously not synthetic. However, the beer is unable to linger because of a lack of strong body. The raspberry does surprising carry into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - For a stout, I found the beer to be a little too thin. Stouts should have more viscosity than the average ale.
Overall -Of the Night Goat variants, this is certainly the best.
