Main St. Brewing 'Stag & Pheasant Imperial Stout' @ 9.3% , from a waxed 650 ml bottle purchased for$8
A-pour is a dark brown from the bottle to a near black in the glass with a small fine tan head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-roasted malts
T-big tasting Imperial stout with a dry smokey finish
MF-ok/mild carbonation , big full body , warms the inners as more is consumed
Ov-ok/possible good beer/Imperial stout , give it some time perhaps

On tap at the brewery, Vancouver.
Anthracite with slight cocoa film. 4
Chocolate-covered espresso bean nose. 4
Coffee candy, big honeycomb, and touch of sweet-and-sour, and no hops. 3.5
Slick buttery rum finish.
Medium, smooth, clingy. 3.75
Queasy and cloying. Not enough roast and where’s the 65 IBUs? They could do a lot more with the announced 10% ABV. 3.5
